Do you know what a browser is?
Google sent a guy to Times Square to ask people on the street that question. The answers he got varied widely, but the vast majority of people didn’t know what a browser is.
A browser is a program on your computer that allows you to view websites. Examples of browsers are Firefox and Internet Explorer (and Google’s new browser, called Chrome).

Very Educational post, Uncle Scott. A search engine is google, yahoo, etc. A browser is Firefox or Internet Explorer. A browser is the main category because that is most commonly an icon and it is the only way to go on to the internet, I believe. But a browser can't work alone. You need a search engine to look at or look up stuff on the internet. So the search engine is implanted into the browser for easy convenience. In other words, browsing and searching are NOT the same in any way.
